This is a one-day theory and
hands on course for
those who wish to learn about keeping chickens. It is a fun day with
other like-minded people.
History of Chickens - the
breeds and which chickens are right for you.
What to look for when
well-being and husbandry. How and what to feed etc.
Common diseases, avoidance,
identification, control and treatment. Effects on humans.
Reproduction, hatching and
The course included ‘hands
on’ inspection and viewing of numerous breeds and practical
inspection of topics covered.
The courses are run every
three weeks as detailed above.
In the unlikely event we
have insufficient numbers attending we may cancel or amalgamate
The price is £65.00 and
includes a snack lunch. Courses start at 10.30am and conclude at
3.30pm. five hours of jam-packed chicken stuff! Accompanied children
(2max) are £15.00 each (Noisy children are fed to chickens at 2pm)
